Well if you look at the Bernard Taylor fight ..then you see how this could be trouble for Pedroza ..potentially
I think Marcel, but Pedroza was very strong. Marcel might drown him down the stretch though. I’d say the best version of Pedroza was against Ford, the best Marcel (we have on film) was in the first fight with Gomez. I’m sure this would be highly competitive and I don’t think it’s worth dissecting. As for their respective ledgers, in this instance I prefer Marcel’s top heavy resume to Pedroza’s long reign of nearly men and lacklustre performances against some of the very best he fought.
I agree with Flea (again). The autocorrect on my phone just changed Flea to flea treatment when I was typing, but for the record I am against the idea that he is a medical treatment for dogs and not a bloke who knows his boxing. But yeah, Ernesto in a very high quality fight and a fairly close one. I also prefer his ledger to Pedroza's despite the latter's longevity. The late rounds would probably be very interesting as both men were very strong there.
Yeah, Ford was without question Pedroza's apex performance. I don't think that's ever been debated. He was superb in that fight and completely dismantled a very solid operator in Ford. Marcel in the Gomez fight is a beautiful boxing exhibition. Comical that was scored a majority decision - Gomez won 2 rounds, tops.
Indeed, Marcel won that at a canter. He was also very aggressive at times, and moved like he was in the matrix.
I'm one of the biggest Pedroza boosters on this site, but I think this might be a bad match-up for him. Marcel might be better on the backfoot, and had the engine to withstand a late Pedroza surge. Marcel by wafer thin decision in a one off.
