Any thoughts on this almost forgotten fight between 2 solid FWs? Both Marcel and Shibata were excellent technicians with style and they displayed some great skills in their fight against each other as well. Who did you have winning this fight and was the Draw fair or more of a hometown gift for Shibata?

i remember watching that fight(not live, that same video years ago)

marcel was so good, one of the real underrated boxers.

not a scoring guy but i thought he won pretty clearly.

This is the fight that sold you on Marcel possibly being the 126 H2H king, right ?

One of them. He absolutely should, in what would be his best win IMO. What stands out most for me here is how good Shibata is. Its an excellent fight.

Shibata's head movement, hand speed and combinations is really impressive. He had some success with Marcel but just couldn't keep up with the foot speed. A rematch would have been nice to see but I think Shibata himself knew that Marcel was too good of a fighter to deal with.

Shibata is one of the most naturally gifted fighters I've ever seen. Super fluid and super smooth.

Marcel should've probably won, yeah. I'm surprised that the fight wasn't stopped on cuts.

One of the commentators kept saying "Harada-san", before getting responded to by the other host. Was Fighting Harada speaking over this fight?

Harada was involved with the JBC for decades until he died. He used to commentate on loads of big bouts, especially in the 80s and 90s.
