    This was a great rally by Ernie Lopez but unfortunately the stoppage is not shown on this film.

    What are your thoughts on these two welterweights contenders? Could they have been competitive in other eras? Championship material?

    Hedgemon Lewis had all the skills but lacked the ruggedness of 'Indian Red', the brother of Danny 'Little Red' Lopez. It's a great display of determination overcoming talent. Lewis could seemingly slip punches and counter at will and thus Lopez had to walk through some punishment in order to land his own punches.
