I believe Ernie Terrell won a single round in that lopsided 15 round decision loss to champion Muhammad Ali on Feb 6 1967.

It's hard to say, but Ali went in to that fight pissed off, so Terrell was gonna get it what ever happened.

This is a very difficult, and very interesting question.
You even opened my eyes, that I made a mistake in my post that you just quoted.
Since Mohammad Ali had his own personal reasons there are 2 possible scenarios:
    1a.) could knock out Terrell
2b.) he wanted to beat Terrell for 15 rounds; to punish him as long and as much as possible

    2b.)

Yes Richard, he definitely had beef with poor Ernie in that one.
Terrell never stood a chance really.

Haven’t watched the sparring session for a little while myself Swag but the description was my broad recollections. Liston was boxing nice and relaxed as I recall, Terrell being more of a try hard, doing his usual sticking and clutching moves which didn’t appear to concern Liston.

One thing I recall - if anyone has doubts re Liston’s reach - he does appears no worse than equal to Terrell’s 82” and easily argued to be a touch longer. Terrell’s arms also look like sticks compared to Sonny’s but Terrell wasn’t Robinson Crusoe in that regard, lol. Liston was an incredibly, densely packed man.

Oh, and I remember reading Terrell’s opinion of the sparring session - he said he thought he handled Sonny quite well but I don’t think so - Ernie boxed a bit leery but Liston was clearly not punching with bad intentions.

This is a nice colourised version I found - I’ll have to rewatch myself - my memories might be off, lol.

Below the vid is a terrific photo which you’ve likely seen before, Terrell, Liston and Ali. My

God, look at those mitts of Liston’s wrapped around Ali’s wrist and forearm. A really great pic, particularly of Liston genuinely laughing/ smiling as he is.

At the press conference contract signing for the Muhammad Ali vs Ernie Terrell title unification bout scheduled for Feb 6 1967 at the Houston astrodome, Ernie called Ali, "Clay". Ali then promised to deliver to Terrell, the Floyd Patterson Torture Treatment. Ali did deliver starting with round 8, when Ali quipped his now infamous question, What's My Name? after landing a fusillade of combinations to Terrell's head, the assault continued throughout the 8th round.

Prime Terrell probably decisions Louis if he can avoid being KOd.
Marciano would be cut to ribbons and stopped on cuts.
Terrell doesn’t have a big height advantage vs Holmes. Larry is also heavier and a better boxer with more power. Larry wins.
Terrell would be in big trouble vs Lewis who is too heavy strong and good. KO Lewis under 8 rounds.
