CALAMITY COONEY is at it again! Never fought a contender in real life, got KOd anytime a fighter nailed him. Had the balance and grace of movement of a three legged giraffe with a lion biting into his back. Singlehandedly revived Morris Code with his telegraphs, but in fantasy boxing, defeats one great, notsogreat contender & bum within 3 ferocious Calamity Cooney rds. A tiger. A human T- Rex. Beowulf and Grendals mother merged. Tougher than Pattons 8th army. The stuff of legends. Inexurable. Indomitable. Incorageable. Violence personified. An irish rock of Gibraltar. Just unbeatable but managed poorly. Nothing his fault. CALAMITY COONEY ko 9 seconds over Tammie Terrell

I do not like what you are writing. This is a forum for people who are interested in boxing. Some q. are a little out of order and timeline, but I do not like the way you respond to the q. asked.

Hey PAL, just because you don't have unwavering belief in Calamity Cooney like the rest of us do is no reason to put us down. Our behemoth like hero is unbeatable to us and just because YOU don't agree don't cap down on us true Calamity Cooney army.

Gerry Cooney by KO. Probably around the fourth. Maybe sooner.

He was a talented fighter, feasting on, beyond viable opponents. He took two frigging years off after the Holmes fight! The rest of his career shows his 'meddle'. "I want it all! I got my arse kicked by Larry"! Boo hoo. Gerry, despite his talent, showed little under his left teat to show ANY consideration of an ATG....

Terrell was Sonny Liston's sparring partner for awhile and fought most the best fighters of the 60's.
Was WBA Champ. Would never have beaten Clay/Ali...but who in the 60's could?

C00ney was a good fighter who took advantage of the marketing situation of that late 70's early 80's era.

If Terrell doesn't get caught "cold" early, going with ET by close UD in a 12+ round, ugly fight.

Cooney, before he started to become Cokeney, would take this. Proofed solid power + good movement and hang in 13 with a prime Larry, who had a better punch than Ali.

    Terrell all the way.

Much more successful at elite level.

Peak v peak an interesting matchup.
Gerry put up a hell of a struggle against a decent version of Holmes.Regardless of who he fought prior and the way he fell apart after if that night was his peak he's a handful at elite level. Terrell was similar in that he could fight at that level without beating any greats.
Could be a scrappy contest so gotta go with cagey Terrell on points in a dull bout.

I watched the H/C fight on the first generation home TV PPV fights, with the cable signal in a storm going on & off, and my buddies throwing empty beer cans at the TV when the signal failed. And the clueless wives/GF's not really understanding WhyTF all the guys there were bissed off. Turned out to be a competitive fight.

Peak cooney gives him serious problems to be sure, he could even win by ko if enough of those booming hooks land. but idk if he could untangle he octopus' strategy. He wasnt the best grappler or infighter and preferred mid range.

Oh jeez! Cooney 'could' have landed, maybe not. Eras aside, this could have been one of those "Bugner-Terrell" 'fantasies' tho not as boring. The 'Octopus' would, repeatedly smother him and Ernie's whiskers' weren't so bad either. Who knows? Who cares?

One of the most colorful descriptions of a fantasy fight I've seen in a long time - great stuff! I may have to borrow the telegraph line someday, but promise to give attribution!
