Errol Spence Jr. won't be the same after that accident. He might still be able to fight, and win fights, but against the top guys his injuries will hinder him from competing to his fullest level.
Me too to be honest. Spence Jr. is a special fighter, it hurt me in my heart when that accident happened.
I'm worried that the trauma from the accident will have the effect of, say, ten really grueling fights, where his durability, reflexes, and confidence in himself are greatly diminished. He needs a really soft touch when he comes back to test the waters.
******* I work with told me Spence was ****ing dead. Saw the accident footage and my heart dropped. Be thankful that kid is still alive at all much less getting back in the ring.
Lol - why is that? If a member caught it when out and about then the symptoms don't show up until around 5 days so they may have caught it and it spread it without knowing.
I hope he is able to return to his previous form. He made a terrible decision (likely not his first or last), and perhaps he learned from this expirience. I hate to see young prime athletes have these sort of things happen to them, but this is also 100% self inflicted. Fighting career aside, this should be a wake up call for a young dude with money who likes to drink. If he can return to form then I think he can be a top 5 guy for quite a while, win and lose some titles. I never truly believed he has what it takes to be a dominant star though.
He looks horrible. He aged a lot and is fat as hell. I'm sure the alcohol hasn't done him any favors on recovering. I'm not even a spence fan but i'd like to see him come back strong but he needs to put the bottle down.
Do you know how they contracted the virus? Do all 3 live together? If one had to work, it's possible that 1 caught it and gave it to the other 2 before they even knew that were infected. To question their intelligence for getting sick is assholish.
