I'm so happy that Spence got back in the tournament. I take credit for it because I was sending in negative comments via FB. Great great decision overturn. I just want a fair shake for all the fighters. I hate robberies, they disgust me.
It's possible but not a foregone conclusion so everybody needs to chill and STFU about Spence vs. Evans until they both advance a little further. :yep Here is the remaining bracket: Side 1 Fred Evans (UK) vs. Custio Clayton (Canada) Winner meets the winner of... Alexis Vastine (France) vs. Taras Shelestyuk (Ukraine) ...in the Semis Side 2 Errol Spence Jr. (USA) vs. Andrey Zamkovoy (Russia) Winner meets the winner of... Serik Sapiyev (Kazakhstan) vs. Gabriel Maestre Perez (Venezuela) ...in the Semis.
My QF predictions: Shelestyuk over Vastine Evans over Clayton Spence over Zamkovoy Sapiyev over Maestre Perez The Finals will be the winner of Shelestyuk vs. Evans against the winner of Spence vs. Sapiyev in the Semis. Honestly I'm not ready to make those picks until we see the Quarter performances. Assuming it pans out per my expectation, both those semis are pick'ems.
Says the 'boxing fan' whose two favorite fighters are amateurs who where just gifted decisions. I bet you haden't even seen an Ogogo or Joshua fight until the Olympics. Ogogo got wooped by Eamon O'Kane at the commonwealths ffs, and he sucks balls. The decision today was no worse than the earlier robberies.
Why? Because they don't meet your 'agenda'? Like someone else said. Ogogo at worst is considered a robbery. Spence at best is considered a ****. Ya-- that's totally the same.
Correct. With all due respect to Zamkovoy, this overturning is very fortuitous and virtually gives Errol a bye to the semis. :yep
Bull****. They where both clear robberies where the wrong man won, I have no agenda. WTF are you on about ****, it was a boxing match with disgraceful judging, same as Ogogo vs Khytrov and especially Joshua vs Savon. No reasonable case can be made for them being declared the winner. If I have an agenda its not liking blatant robberies at the Olympics of all places, I'm not anti brit. Take off your blinkers.
Evan has to get by Clayton, and given the way the latter has looked in his two bouts, that's not guaranteed. :deal Glad the Spence had the decision overturned, btw. In an Olympics that has featured a bunch of them, this one was particularly rank.
