These are the words of Shawn Porter! Thoughts?

Na, styles makes fights. I can see why Spence would trouble Floyd a lot. Spence plods, cuts off the ring, good jab, throws a lot of punches, puts on a lot of pressure, tough chin, body punches. Basically Castillo, maidana, margarito type of pressure but more skilled.

But he’s not troubling Crawford because Crawford has power. That style won’t work against someone who can hit you hard enough you have to rethink the pressure you’re applying.

Classic example of this is Hatton/Cotto vs Floyd vs their fight with Pac.

With Floyd they can put on that pressure and Floyd has to outbox them and get away. With Pac, it’s like running into a train so they get hurt quickly and has to change up. Flip side of that, someone like JMM will give Pac hell but Floyd outboxed them easily.

The styles is all wrong for Spence but it’s not because he’s a worse fighter. I think Floyd would outbox Crawford easy for example but Spence would put it on Floyd. It’s just styles.

Damn, Crawford must of hit Porter even harder than I thought, he's no longer making sense.

Styles make fights fir sure but I also thought Spence would be stronger, push him around more and outwork him for the first part. But Crawford was stronger, bullied Spence who looked weak compared to bud and hurt him a lot with his punches. It looked like how you would pick apart an outmatched missing opponent on fight night champion back in the day.
I think 154 would help Spence but it wont be enough. Crawford would still be stronger, firmer on his feet and picking him apart with hard shots.
I think Spence should go for a belt at 154 and retire or just retire now.
No point in getting beatdown by Crawford again.

He's never made sense going back years now, he likes to speak in circles to sound like he is more intellect than given but never wants to sit on one direct opinion so that then he can never be completely wrong & look stupid in his picks, though most do fall for his tactics & lame podcast there remains a low percentage who see thru his tricks.

He changed his style to a more cautious/boxing style since the car crash, but he still easily outmanuevered around Ugas and Danny Garcia and threw 1000 punches and broke bone. Why the sudden change for Crawford do you think?

This is the fool that kept saying "Manny's my guy" and then was on video screaming and cheering on Broner during the fight. Porter's as fake as they come.

Weight was not the problem in that fight.

Yeah not just that time but Shawn was also putting down Manny when he was busting up Uga's face in hopes to sway the public on commentary & days after their fight to propel himself after Robbing Ugas with his lowlife podcast buddy in FightHype Sean "who himself last weekend insinuated Inoue was on PED'S & was left speechless after Inoue dismantled Fulton"

Porter was also caught cheering on Thurman before saying he was going for his "Friend" Manny, just like Thurman after saying he was pulling for Pac was soon after seen on camera behind the scenes telling Spence to beat Pacquiao up & retire him,

These boys are all the same only seeing one common thing amongst themselves & we all know exactly what that is.

What I sometimes see in my gym is lads that cut too much weight and then in the fight they have low energy and no pop or snap on their punches. When they move up a weight they look better and perform closer to what we see in the gym.

Sometimes the lads mess about, just low level amateur boxing, during the weight cut and have to fight at a weight above normal. They can look too small for the weight. There punches don't have much effect and when they get hit they don't take the punches too well.

I'm not saying that's the case with Crawford and Spence but there could be something in that Spence would perform better at a higher weight and Crawford wouldn't perform as well at that higher weight.

I dont think it would be enough for Spence to get the win. I think Crawford is just to good for Spence regardless but I can see where Porter is coming from.

I hope Crawford has enough in the tank to move up and bash the top dogs of 154. He needs it to cement the respect he deserves.

Spence was just never a real massive hard puncher like that regardless about what was said about it, you could clearly see that after he upped his competition from his lower level prospect opponents,

As for your point of having less energy & low pop it's true, that's why Crawford's been looking so good in comparison as he steadily went up in weight & there's plenty of other multidivisional fighters in history that have gone in the same upward arrow.
