Errol Spence: Go Ahead And Criticize; Mikey Garcia Is A Big Money Fight And I'ma Stop Him (!)

I don't have a problem with Spence fighting Mikey unless he is choosing Mikey over Thurman/Porter. Assuming he fights Porter next and Thurman won't be available to fight because he needs a tuneup to get back into it then it's fair play. I do however dislike Mikey for making this fight. Mikey is a top tier talent and he's going to be putting all his potential at risk by fighting somebody who could potentially retire him from the top level. With 140 heating up I'd much rather watch Mikey take control of that division.

 

Spence being his classy self. So what else is new?

But we, myself and Golden Boy, said we would both take a fight in between. He’s fighting January 27th. I’m fighting February the 10th. We agreed that right after my fight we would get back together and start having a conversation about maybe getting a fight with Linares sometime in the summer.” this is the only thing I've seen on what happened that and he got paid more by haymon

 

People seem to forget Garcia is a natural feather weight, I rate his win over Broner as a very good win, Broner is big for the weight he fights and has good skills

 

Broner can't even beat a semi shot pillow fisted mallinaggi comvincingly.
I think you overrate broner a bit.

 

Pillow fisted Mallinaggi is better than De Marco who beat Linares , I think you guy's are overrating Linares a bit

 

Mikey has great skills and he has proven that time and time again. He now wants to make money off those skills and if that means fighting Spence then so be it. I think that he has the right to pick and choose at this point because he has paid his dues. When he feels like enhancing his legacy then 140 is the place to do that because 147 is a bridge too far. He might beat some average 147 pounders but the elite crop will more than likely beat him. Then again, there's a beast lurking at 140 named Regis Prograis.
