The welterweight champions make so much more money and every title fight should be a pay per view fight. If Spence would fight a Jamal James on short notice due to opponents injury what might happen?
Over a decade following the sport and we always have flies like this show up with such comments after a close fight involving a greatly hyped fighter, and for good reason, and another known tough opponent. Just because his name is Errol Spence and the media tells you he’s invincible your idiocy can’t tackle through obvious realities like Porter is actually proven to be tough?.
I disagree. Spence is a good fighter, maybe the top WW. He needs to beat Crawford to prove it but if he did, I wouldn’t be surprised. He fought Porter really well and I expected guys to slag Spence even before the fight was made. When Porter is in high gear he can make a fighter look bad. Still Spence put him down late in the fight. I don’t think Spence is top five PFP but he certainly has the skills to get there. Good fighter and not a hype job.
Well said and how can someone who fought Brook in his backyard and is still unbeaten a hypejob? And it's also disrespectful to his opponent Porter who held a title himself. What Floyd did was out of the ordinary so let's stop judging everyone by those standards.
Because people don't know what the term hypejob entails, it's not just any fighter who you think is overrated. It's someone who's built up by the media but will fold up when matched with a top opponent eventually. If you ALREADY beat some top fighters in your division you can no longer be a hypejob, it's nonsense.
Keep telling yourself that. Kahn was scared shitless and found a way out of that fight. Knew that when I heard him crying in his corner inbetween rounds.
