First of all, Terence Crawford has been my favorite boxer for years but to see that so many people are picking him to smoke Spence has me rethinking the whole bout and thinking about Spence’s advantages.
I just don't see it with Spence, everything that Kell Brook did that gave Spence issues , Crawford does better, with more spite, more power, more athleticism, switch hitting, higher IQ etc. With a different set of judges, Spence didn't get past Shawn Porter - I don't see how he beats Crawford And I can't stand Crawford and pray to God that Spence beats him
Even though it’s just practice a young 20 year old Spence was putting hands on Floyd Mayweather so clearly he a skilled boxer, he’s shown he can outbox you he’s also shown he can out bang you, I only see the fight ending one way with Crawford getting stopped via Brook/Ugas face breaking TKO
How he makes it will be interesting. The lack of activity does make me wonder. He could be at 160lb let alone 154lb
That sounds like one attribute to me “high volume Work rate.“ Spence has a hell of a chance based on that alone. His weird reaction(s) after the car wreck in both the Danny Garcia & Ugas fights has me giving the razors edge to Crawford Bud “sleeps” everybody & Spence “breaks” everybody Who gets to who 1st? Money on bud. This content is protected
Wow youd think Crawford has been in with some big time welterweights his last fights not euro level avenysan, over the hill porter and bum brook people go on like he Mayweather on here Spences win over ugas after being in a major crash tops anything Crawford has done in last 4 years Only seeing a spence win unless the 2nd crash did more damage than we think
I question whether Spence can apply pressure continuously the way he did in the past, because that's what it will take for him to win. Crawford has more ways to win, imo, and that to me is why he's the favorite.
Spence looked like a locomotive against Ugas. I rewatched their fight last night. A very underrated fight btw. His strength and pressure can give Crawford problems. He chopped Ugas down. Broke his face and softened up his body. He mixes up his combinations often so it’s difficult to time him. That’s the best I’ve seen him in a while.
I thought he looked great, too, but also vulnerable. He suffered a KD that Laurence Cole just didn't call, and he also got hit with some other big shots. Crawford will land those same punches but is much quicker on his feet than Ugas, so I think that's likely to happen is Spence gets countered relentlessly and is less effective with his own offense. His best chance is to pressure Crawford and hope that Crawford's aging legs betray him. If they are standing in front of each other, that's where I think Spence has the advantage.
