I tried to explain that to these guys...they kept making weird arguments about how Crawford did more because he's been in more weight classes and has more skills based on the eye test (and even that's debatable). If we're talking just about 147 Spence's resume is superior and it's not up for debate. As for the fight, it really depends on if Crawford can handle and/or neutralize the body shots. If he can't take it to the body or stop Spence from targeting there, he probably gets stopped. It also depends on who wins the battle of the jabs/controls the pace. Crawford's best chance would be to try to keep Spence on the backfoot or use his footwork to change directions constantly and keep Spence from getting comfortable in a rhythm. Duking it out at mid or close range against Spence is probably suicide.
Mikey went into a shell and just fought to survive. He gave up attempting to win after round 2 or so, and Spence just didn't bother getting out first gear popping his jab since there was no reason to press the issue. Made for a boring fight, but Spence was accused of just being a mindless slugger and that Mikey could outbox him so he proved he could outbox the boxer.
Sure but if he blasted him out his stock would of been sky high, everything would of been so much better for Spence if he did.
That and Crawford is being overestimated based on his resume. Hopefully it is a good fight and we can see who the real champ is at 147.
