the exact circumstances that all boxing fans claim we dont see anymore like in the past, and it gets cut down at every turn. i hope when everyone gets the excuses out of the way, they can go back and watch the fight again. pay special attention to spence every time he throws the jab, notice where its landing, and take note of the effect its taking. brook was just not fast enough to get out of the way of that jab, never has been. also watch what happens every time brook tries his patented tie up and what happens when he lets go. its the same ole brook doing the same thing, the same way, and getting a different result against a guy who had answers for him.
What impressed me more about Spence was the fact that he had to dig-deep to get the W. Has the heart of a champ.
Its good America have finally got someone legit to hype. Big respect - beating Brook - post GGG or not - was always a huge ask He targeted the other eye which was a brilliant tactic
It's funny that these exact same qualities apply to GGG, but many of the same fans who praise Spence have only bad things to say about GGG. I wonder why that is?
Because Golovkin is Eastern European, it's that simple.............. I kept reading that Spence is the greatest welterweight in boxing history, faster than everyone, hits harder than Golovkin, can't be hit, well he got hit................Thurman hits much harder than Brook, so does Porter, I think they both beat him...................as far as Ray Robinson? Spence is not in his class, nor is he in the class of Leonard, Hearns, nor a lightweight such as Duran.............not in their class...............
Massive props to Errol. Going to an elite fighters hometown and stopping him. We all needed a break from the likes of Lee Selby's and Gervonta Davis's who are purposely not fighting the very best whilst keeping belts hostage. I want to see Errol-Thurman winner take on Pac-Crawford winner.
I had 2 picks going into the fight. First was Brook would be able to slow the pace down and stop ESJ late. The second was ESJ would be able to set a pace Brook couldn't contend with, a bit like the 1st Carson Jones fight.......sadly I went with my first pick. As for the fight ESJ did a great job, very good fighter and the sky's the limit.
A very humble, well spoken man who's very young. I was thoroughly impressed during his post-fight interview.
Yeah im a fan of Spence. Unfortunatly for me im a bigger fan of Brook. I think we were treated to a fantastic fight for 7 or 8 rounds of Boxing last night, worryingly some folk on here couldnt see the clash of quality making it ugly they just saw ugly. It was 2 elite Boxers trying to impose their superiority over the other. Shame about the eye as after 6 there was still no clear sign of who was taking control and the 1st 6 were incredible rounds to watch. Spence should be seen as Americas next great poster boy and looks like he can be a great role model too. Lives clean, speaks well and seems to train and fight properly, not scared to dust off his passport which is rare for an American Boxer and he has all the tools an exciting superstar Boxer needs. I saw subtle changes in the gameplan from team Spence which shows he was ready with more than 1 plan and has the skills to tweak his game as its happening. Yes i think Spence is a superb Boxer.
