This is such an unnecessary fight. Mikey is P4P but come on man, there's plenty of fights at 135 and 140 to make. Spence is big enough to fight at 160.

I can understand daring to be great but Mikey is going to get slaughtered. Much better fights for both fighters to take than this IMO

 

To be fair Mikeys best opposition to date is Robert Easter.

Now he will take his L against Spence. But he wont fight Loma a much more winnable fight for him. Because he doesn't want the shame of losing against a smaller man.

I'm neutral with Loma. Not a particularly big fan. I detest Garcia though. I want to see Spence beat his ass all over the ring.

 

i think theyve reached an agreement with arum for the loma fight for the end of next year. its a unification and determines the best lightweight in the world so losing to spence would not hurt it. i think mikey wants both guys next year.

 

i can dig that, theres plenty of fighters i cant stand, i dont just talk out my ass to cut them down, though.

 

I'm just far more interested in Loma Garcia because it seems to be a more competitive fight.

The cynical side of me wants to see Spence destroy him.

But if and when Soence destroys him that could leave Mikey as damaged goods. Not good for a future fight with Loma.
