How bad would a prime Floyd make Spence look?

 

I don't know how anyone can dislike Spence. Exciting style, excellent fighter, always very respectful, found him quite entertaining in the build up to this, beat Shawn in every verbal spar and tbh, people are looking for a king and was ready to hand it over to Spence. It is what it is, Porter is a B- level fighter, and Spence went life and death with him which makes him a B-B+ level. He also showed his level when he had a very close fight with a solid B level guy in Brooks.

Nothing wrong with being a B level guy. Canelo is B+ level. Cotto B+ level. That type of level, almost elite but its not the May, Pac, RJJ, Tyson, SRL line of succession, the guys above the guys.

I had GGG as the next king of boxing but then he was exposed by Canelo. Loma is possible but he's not fighting the right competition. Spence seems somewhat exposed, that lays on Crawford now, I think Crawford is going to be the one that is a level above the rest of the top guys. But he needs to fight and dominate a top guy to prove that and show he's a level above.

 

And Porter is only 2 years older.

Great fight! After watching Porter’s previous fight, I thought Spence was going to outclass Porter with his boxing ability and size advantage. Porter showed a lot of heart and the fight lived up to expectations. Even though Porter didn’t get the W, he gave boxing fans something we don’t see in many championship fights these days, a very entertaining and close fight. Congrats to both guys for reminding me why I love this sport.

 

The KD made the difference for me Right man won but you could tell by the 2 spence scorecards the fix was in regardless

 

GGG is lucky to be B+ may be a B level guy. Tough fight with Jacobs and lost to the smaller guy in Canelo.

I reserve A level to the absolute elites. ATGs. Or guys who dominate other top fighters so the eye test says it all without the depth in resume.

Loma has shown he’s a class above whoever he fights, so if Linares is a B level fighter given the right style matchup, Loma showed he was clearly a level above him. What’s a level above B? A.

Who has Spence beaten/dominated who is a B level guy to establish himself as a clear A level fighter? Same as GGG. He fought 2 B level guys and showed he was on their level, not above them.

 

Prime Spence probably has more juice in him than a Mexican abattoir & he still can't beat the likes Porter convincingly
