Errol Spence Jr vs Shawn Porter - Advantage on the inside goes to?

Porter would be better than Spence on the inside, if he didn't have a tendency to smother his own inside work a lot.

 

Spence is much more cleaner on the inside. Adjusts his range very well and climbs the stairs both ways but his head is very stationary. While Porter is more physical, he does smother his own work. The only advantage I see for Porter is that when he wants to, he can have very erratic rhythm and timing. If you re-watch the Garcia fight, his timing and rhythm was all over the place which stopped Danny from ever getting into the fight.

 

Spence and its not even close. Porter is an absolute disaster, hes sloppy, smothers his own power/shots, and is technically and fundamentally very deficient compared to Spence, everywhere.

 

Ya he can and he does, and ges still much better technically than Porter. Porter just tries bodying people, hes a wrestler in boxing. I have no clue how he was such a successful amateur.

 

please post your list of boxers who cant be hit sometimes when theyre not punching, it would really add to my understanding.

 

Porter is better at brawling on the inside but Spence isn’t stupid enough to let him do this, he’ll keep it long and keep porter on the end of the jab and probably fight him on the inside late once he’s faded and take his heart
