Could someone better informed tell me why Spence targeted the IBF champion, Brook, rather than the other, smaller, potentially easier champions at 147? Was it intentional or was he ranked higher in IBF than the others due to who he could get fights with? Spence is stopping Brook in my opinion and would have even without Golovkin F'ing up his eye socket.
I'm very excited he targeted Kell Brook, I believe in Spence . I want him to prove himself against the best. I don't want to see him go after no weak titleholder.
Spence got that quiet confidence. He knows he's something special. I heard somewhere once that Errol Fcks the Charlo's up in sparring, can't remember where I heard it but has anyone got any stories from the gym concerning 'The Truth'?
Yeah I like that about Spence . He iz a silent killer . He doesn't even look intimidating at all . Softly spoken and the most he will give you is a little smile. When the bell rings , a beast comes out to feast . I love it I wouldn't be surprised if he spank the Charlo brothers , Not 1 bit . They also said he put Broners lights out in sparring as well and Spence himself confirmed it.
Just be here after this fight as p!aged out I ain't budging on a brook win late tko or points If brook does beat Spence will he be ranked as brooks first second third or fourth opponent uummm
Generally, those who think that Brook will win are basing their view on the idea that Spence is a hype job who hasn't fought good/great opposition and will be exposed by the more experienced Brook under the bright lights across the pond. Well, to those that think that I ask you this: what if it turns out Spence really is The Truth? Poise, the uncanny ability to mix his punches to the body and head, and that vicious killer instinct. These are traits Spence undeniably possesses. Sure his chin is a question mark, as is his heart if the going gets tough, but he's got the attitude that he's willing to show and prove his level of talent against the best. He knows he has to go to Brook's backyard for this and he has prepared himself mentally for that challenge. Brook better be ready for this. Just because he's been in with GGG doesn't guarantee him a thing in this fight. May the best man win.
I for one will give Brook a lot of credit as I rate Spence even though he hasn't been in with the best yet. Yes, I admit I am going off the "eye test" somewhat. If Brook wins he has victories over Porter and Spence at welter and can make a legit claim to being the best in the world, though he will have to beat Thurman to really prove that.
I concur the above Brook beats Thurman and Garcia IMO Its Spence that is the test IMO Young hungry dangerous
I think in his case the hype has some merit. Also in my mind it's a win win for him no matter the outcome. If he loses to Brook then maybe it was a step up too soon, Brook is definitely a top WW if not the number 1 in the division. I don't think Spence losing to Brook at this stage in his career would negatively effect what he does in the future unless he is absolutely destroyed of course.
