Horn today beat Rico Mueller for the number 2 position in the IBF rankings ,while the number 1 contender is Spence and with the possibility of Brook vacating ,the IBF will order Spence and Horn to face. Who do you think wins this fight ?
How does this fight happen? Horn goes from IBF# 4 to #2 for beating a guy who was 10 places behind him. Australian fighters have a history of picking up these meaningless international, intercontinental, asia pacific and pan asia titles from usually homeless men eating out of trash cans and then falling way short in world title shots. Horn is a good kid and one of the best prospects in Australia but has beaten no one. Now he's getting thrown in against Spense. Yeah right, good luck with that one.
Horn is a big dude, just as big as Spence, skillwise not that far behind, but he has a few too many holes in his defense for me to say he could beat Spence. Spence KO9 most likely outcome.
My prediction is Brook is holding his ground unless Haymon offers up Khan as alternate, if he doesn't expect Spence to be advised vacate his mandatory position. No way Haymon is risking Spence at 25% of the purse to fight Brook with VADA tests in the UK, when he could offer damaged goods Khan for 60% of a much higher pot.
