In 2017, Keith Thurman (who held the WBA belt) bagged the WBC belt from Danny Garcia to become unified 147lb champion. A month later, Errol Spence would go over to the UK as the mandatory for the IBF belt. He snagged the belt from the defending champion Kell Brook in spectacular fashion with an 11th TKO. Had negotiations played out right, with these 2 scheduled to face each later that year - how would a Spence/Thurman match have played out? I think Spence via Late Stoppage or UD.
This is my first post. Hello everyone! I have been watching boxing over 30 years and I try to watch every fight and keep up with all the news. In my personal opinion, had Spence and Thurman fought in 2017 it probably would have been a good fight but I believe you are correct that Spence would likely have been a little too much. Spence probably would have won via close Decision imo.
Fitzgerald didn’t beat them clean at all. Arguably lost both. Please rewatch all the fights in the equation you just mentioned. It sounds like your giving a false version of events to support your claim here, it takes away from your argument instead
I didn’t mention Spence in the comment you just replied to. Im just making you aware that you dont know anything about Boxing. Accept it, forget what you think you know and re-educate yourself rather than posting dumb threads. Dont have a nice day
It’s a reason Thurman wanted to stall that fight for as long as he could. He knew he would be beaten.
You were insanely triggered by the fact that Thurman had an easier time with fresher versions of Porter and Danny. I can't help you cope with that, little man.
