Beat a lower tier fighter like a Charlo Bro. or Boo Boo maybe even Lara first before getting KTFO by Alvarez. This kid has looked spectacular against C-Level opp. I like Spence a lot aswell... but come on kid.

I look at the success Cotto had against Canelo . Spence would embarrass Canelo . I believe he hits harder than Canelo as well . He is the superior fighter hands down .

Spence wants to beat someone good at his own weight first. Jeff Lacey mark 2

The longer it goes, the bigger beating canelo gets.

Spence needs to beat someone good before he gets in the discussion with Canelo. Spence best wins are Algieri and Bundu, high level journeymen.

I like Spence and watch all his fights. Obviously there is hype behind Spence which is good for boxing! He's American, he's strong, he's a KO artist. Looks marketable. It's time for him to shoot for a title in 2017. If he beats a Thurman, Garcia or Porter, Bradley he's the goods.

Algieri and Bundu are not journeyman. A journeyman is someone who loses about as much as they win. Bundu was an undefeated Euro Champ then had ONE LOSS to Thurman. A decision. He was in no way even close to a journeyman. Algieri has become a "gate keeper" which is what I assume you now mean.

spence isnt ready for canelo... but ****, neither was khan. i think spence is a great talent, but he doesnt have near the experience in top level competition, or size, to overcome everything canelo can do.
he should still take the fight. it would probably make him the best known active american boxer and a loss could be forgiven, given how the deck would be stacked against him. he could go back to welter as a now world famous ww talent and get any fight he wants.
canelo is going to be around for a minute, so even if spence loses, he can build up to canelos weight properly and challenge again when things are more evenly stacked.

No one knows what spence looks like against a elite fighter at 147 let alone 154. If he fought someone like Brook at 147 I would have a better idea but he hasn't. You can't pick against canelo here.

Spence's power is overrated. He wins by tko's and throws combinations slow. He rarely scores an actual counted out knockout. Bundu's stamina was **** in their fight and he went down from a push then took forever to get up. The knockout was a combination of Bundu giving up, bad stamina, and Spence's pressure. Spence seem's to get these lucky fights against leftovers of other fighters. Brilliant management on his part.

How long ago and how old was Canelo when he fought Hatton and Mosley?
