All things point to him being far, slower of foot and hand vs Thurman. Also Thurman is a hell of a counter puncher and Spence poses too much after he throws big shots, he's nowhere near ready. I don't see him beating Porter or Thurman.
A shot mummy like Collazo who has very average power hurt Thurman to the body badly and tonight a midget in porter had him running all night. Thurmans WEAKNESS is to the body. Spence throws the best and most brutal body shots in boxing today. Thurman should stay FAR AWAY from The Truth. He'll fold like a lawn chair the first body combo Spence lands.
I'm starting to hate Spence. All of the other top fighters do all the heavy lifting setting up a blueprint and all he needs to do is show up. Put him in with Porter before Thurman. Porter will be good enough to expose Spence. The thing that really ****ed me off was when Spence said he wants to fight the winner of Porter-Thurman, Vargas-Brook, and Danny Garcia. He can fight Garcia but is in NO position to be demanding the winner of these two fights. Will be incredibly lucky to get a fight with the loser. He was born with a silver ****ing spoon in hand and has been given everything on a platter thus far. I CAN'T STAND IT!!!! Change is name from "The Truth" to "Fortunate Son" because IT AIN'T ME!!!
I'd have to agree. Thurman did not impress tonight. Anticipating some training camp injuries to be blamed at some point.
It would be a 50/50 fight right now IMO. Thurman has been in with better comp. In a year or 2 I think Errol beats him.
Exactly this. Spence who i really really like has not had any artillery coming back at him at all and Thurman can hit. I really really like Spence but i have a bad feeling about his chin. I have nothing to back that up but i have a feeling he cant take a punch. If he has a chin like Porter then he`ll clean out the division and problably anyone at 154 too.
