Looks like Ennis will obtain the mandatory rank since Crowley upset Abdukakhorov this past saturday night. I think hes as ready as hes going to be, and think he has a pretty good shot.

    Thoughts?

Ennis. The way Garcia was able to land at times when he let his hands go makes me think a guy thats taller, rangier, quicker, more athletic, more skilled, hungry and not scared would solve Spence with little issue. Porter had a lot of success against Spence as well as Brook who hurt Spence. It is hard to believe that Ennis won't have success. Ennis might put sleepy to sleep, but has enough of consistent defensive lapses and urge to trade that I know this would be an edge of your seat type fight.

Don't think he's ready for the big leagues. Maybe one or two more fights. Crawford, Spence, and Ugas beat him now. Maybe even Thurman if he's not rusted to ****.

He might not have a choice, and I doubt he would pass up the oppurtunity to fight Spence for a World title. The only way to see how he matches up rn is to get in the ring and fight. Personally for me, i think he has a pretty good shot.

This would be an exciting matchup. Ennis hasn't been tested yet and this would be a huge jump in competition for him.

It's been 12 months since Spence last fought. It will be at least 15 months if he fights next.

    Inactivity+injury+toxicity+running from Bud=TKO by Ennis.

He definitely beats the **** out of Thurman and Ugas. He seems to pass the eyeball test, but he may as well jump in the deep end now as the next tier guys are all booked, besides Ortiz who doesn't want the smoke, and Thurman who doesn't want the smoke. Not sure why the WBA excluded him from their box off.

Spence for me, and comfortably. Ennis is too showboaty and those guys usually get sparked out at the elite level (Only very few exceptions to this). We saw what happened to Josh Kelly against Avanesyan. Ennis-Spence is a similar situation to a lesser extent (I rate Ennis higher than Kelly by far though) .

I'm warming to Errol as time passes. He's one of those guys that doesn't impress you at first, but there aren't many flaws there. He's a jack of all trades, master of none. Like a house special pizza with 10 toppings or a rally car that can blitz through rain, snow and whatever else you throw at it. I think he's got the tools for any scenario.

It's the specialists who are masters of their art (A monster puncher for example) who can beat Spence. The rest will fail. Ennis is not that. He doesn't have the chocolate brownies that Brook possessed, and nor does he have the reaction times of a Mayweather-type. Spence by decision.

Spence would beat up Ennis at this point, as in I really think Spence would beat him up. Neither Ennis nor Vergil are ready for Spence yet (they aren't ready for Crawford either). Their time is coming, I definitely tap Boots and Vergil to be at the top of the WW division..........................eventually, but not yet.

Boots is more talented imo. I think if anyone is ready for a world title shot its Boots.

Boots might be talented, but can he take the heat when the chips are down? We know Spence can, and the deep water is where Ennis is as yet untested.

Spence decision, or maybe late stoppage for me right now; although if Ennis has the intangibles, then it could be a reall classic. But right now it's hard not to go with Spence.

I think Boots has a better chance against Bud and Ortiz a better chance against Spence. I've always felt a huge puncher can get Spence out of there, and Ortiz fits that bill better than Boots. Agree though that Boots may be more talented, and may have a slightly higher ceiling than Ortiz.

I disagree. Boots is 28-0 with 26 kos. Hes more than established himself as a boxer/puncher. Vergils a very good prospect who is explosive as well, but i just dont see where he can make adjustments properly against elite fighters. I think Boots is in a position where he can catapult his career very significantly if he got the opportunity at Spence next.

    I thought Porter edged Spence.

    I'm going with Ennis points.
