ESB 2008 NRL Tipping Comp.

Im a penny panthers supporter since birthbut i think its safe to say the boys will be eating their weatbix with a wooden spoon for another year.

I know its early on but **** they are terrible.

 

Have faith mate, I think they'll do ok this year.

Remember, they were 0 - 4 in 2003 the year they won the comp. Early form doesn't mean much in the NRL.

 

i meant to post my other comment in here, but doesnt matter ill just say the jist of it here, penrith have great juniors as shown in the under 20's win against the broncos, they will not finish last...... (big call i know) but there players just need to get battle hardened for first grade once they do they will be a good side again.....
canberra is a very unlcuky side even though i backed newcastle 13 plus 2 of there tries were very lucky, plus canberra got some calls i didnt agree withd urign the game, however they will prob finish last this year or somewhere very low just dont have enough across the field to contest week in week out...
saitns played pathetic going to the game was a massive disappointment we werent in it at all... this week will say alot about whether the side believes in brown or not (althought i have heard from several different sources he is gone garenteed this year)
its great the footy is on.... my winnings are at 2000 dollars from the weekend.... so cant complain lol....
i dont think melb will win it again thi syear, and personally i dont reckon manly will be as close just scrape into the 8 if anyfing , dont rate them never will....

 

Mate i have been aware of that statistic ever since the start of 04 and it has been used for penriths **** early form then up until now.

at best they will finish 10th.

They dont have great depth(regardless of what people say of their juniors etc).

But the big question is this..

Do they have a premiership winning forward pack?(on their day possibly).

Do they have a premiership winning halves combo??Sammut may be exciting and williams can be decent on his day but HELL NO.

Do they have a premiership winning backline??NO NO.

But dont take my opinon too serious as im alittle pissed with the direction the club has been going for awhile.

Im still bitter from when Freddy left us when i was like 10year old.lol

 

I actually think Melbourne will win it this year.But im sure my opinion will definetly change within the next few rounds.lol

come thursday i will let you know if i have anything, my one tip though will be saints to win, they will be paying more then 2.50 and they will be embarrassed because the papers have shamed em all week, i like betting early on in the year because i tend to know more what is happening, once it become late in the year its alot of upsets and just a luckly guess....

I know writing them off after 1game may be alittle to hasty but if the first comp game isnt enough to motivate the boys to put in a better performance then i dont know what is.They were horrible.

The scoreline actually should of been 60 zip.It felt like it anyway.

The panthers on paper have a decent side but that has been the same since 04.

The players that remain at the club who were part of 03 have prettymuch been on a constant decline of form.
