    I just got:

Edwin Viruet Vs Saoul Mamby: both prospects, Viruet something like 15-0 and Mamby 8-2-2  Dunno', but will be an interesting watch anyway.

And Eleoncio Mercedes W15 Freddie Castillo WBC Flyweight (lineal) Championship
German Torres KO Eleoncio Mercedes: should be interesting.

Southpaw power kicking will come easy enough once you've got the hang of kicking with your power right smoothly and kicking with you left kept forward never pulled back. It'll come.:good

I know what you mean about waiing westerners and especially outside Thailand, just feels really weird. If your trainer isn't Buddhist he shouldn't need it as it's out of context. Anyway at least the gym's MT and they have pros, sounds OK.

It was to market Sapp as the "beast" you can tell in both fights Hoost was never hurt he was just covering up, had they let the fight go on for a minute longer we all know Sapp would have tripped over himself and got knocked out by exhaustion alone, shitty way to treat Hoost unless he was in on it :conf

I'd pick a top shape Ignashov over all of them, such a shame he wasted his talent on booze and whatnot...

Hoost was definitely hurt in the first fight!

Second fight was a slightly premature stoppage, but hurt or not he fought stupidly...unless of course he was in on it. First time? Understandable, K1 did this from time to time.

But twice? Hoost loses a lot of his great reputation based on these fights IMO.

Perhaps my memory is a little off, but it was 2 premature stoppages regardless if he was abit buzzed or not.

He was ****ed in the first fight IMO. The leg kicks were ****ing Sapp up but once he walke through them Hoost was getting hit a lot and backed up....in the 2nd fight he had his hads up but was still shipping and not throwing back.

Hoost only has himself to blame.

'Banging' Benny Edwards is putting kickboxing aside for the moment while he attempts to win the Australian heavyweight boxing title.

Ben has won a K-1 World Grand Prix and a couple of ISKA Super heavyweight titles, and his non-boxing record stands at 34 wins (31 KO) from 44 bouts.

At boxing he's 3 wins (3 KO) and a draw from 4 bouts.

Hey Spider, glad to see you posting in the ATG thread. :good

I'm not so familiar and haven't really watched the heavy guys since around 2000-2, I'm more into Thais and the lower weights so I don't think I've seen your guy Benny. I'd be interested to have a look.

This thread is full of great clips and profiles so post some good clips of him here if you reckon he's an ATG.

With the big Sam A v Penek fight happeneing last week and Penek winning the Sportswriters of Thailand Fighter of the Year award for 2012 probably the biggest award in Muay Thai, I thought I should post his highlight reel here. (Sorry if you've already seen it in my post on the Sam A fight).

Not yet an ATG but maybe a candidte for the future to join fellow Southern legends sucah as Poot Lorlek.

Ben Edwards made his K-1 debut at the World Grand Prix 2010 in Canberra, Australia. He knocked out all his opponents in the first round, including the favourite, Paul Slowinski. He still maintains the record for the fastest kickboxing tournament in K-1 history, with his 3 bouts being over in a total of 3 minutes and 28 seconds.

    Teng Khao!!! :scaredas:

Yeah, he looks a bit of a handful.

From the short clip he looks more of a boxer although he did throw a couple of half decent round kick. Has he ever fought the likes of Badr, or the old timers like Hoost and Aerts?
