We've already talked about Chuwatanna in this thread atsch It's an odyssey, although admittedly my memory isn't great nowadays.

Anyway, we had a chat about Sam-A's international boxing debut, an excerpt of which is above. Dunno' if we ever followed it up but I read he took the boxing match as he had a foot injury and didn't want to kick but wanted to stay busy. Make sense?

 

Yeah, that makes sense. He's in the Gai Yang stable had the opportunity to fight and as you say stay busy while injured, a useful payday opportunity knocked and he took it. A busman's holiday Thai style.

JWP has recently announced he is coming out of retirement, the muay thai scene in Australia has just gone into overdrive for 2013.:bbb
First up fighting in Melbourne, to start a 3 fight deal with powerplay promotions.
Second fight will be on his own promotion CMT on the Gold Coast QLD.
Caged Muay Thai, something different.
Octogan, 3x5, Full Muay Thai rules, 4 ounce gloves.
Think his management are looking beyond Australia for world class opposition,
but there is a fighter here named Shannon "Shaggy" King who might of just goaded J Dubbya into a massive local grudge match over an internet forum war.:admin

 

He's carrying that on. Seemed a pretty decent format in his 'last' fight.

Happy to have him back and will watch his balls to the wall violence as long as he's able to dish it out.

Yodsanklai vs Sarm-A, Yod is 16, Sarm-A 18. It is amazing how tight their technique and composure is at that age. I still think without a doubt Yod is the most skilled fighter in the 150 - 160lb range.
