I just can't resist a little cross-Pennine rivalry - and neither can they.

I do indeed. I used to work in York and on the way out where you go between the set of cliffs on either side and there's those big bollard things with the roses on. Used to love coming back past the red one

Yorkshire and Lancashire have hated each other since...... well.... forever!

I would rather a southern team beat a Lancashire team in any sport...... and they would rather you beat us.
