Thing is, Ben, who else is there for Brit fighter of the month? Give me a name and I'll see if a agree:good.
FOTM, for me, is a toss-up between Alexander and Cloud. Guerrero's win was good but it doesn't stand up to the others, IMO. Alexander and Cloud both beat former world champions but I'd say Cloud had to work much harder for his victory, and he also looked quite good throughout his victory, so I'd give my vote to him. I pick: 1-Cloud 2-Alexander 3-Guerrero :good
Sorry for lack of updates, will be done soon :good Nominee's for fighter of the month: Roy Jones Jr Travoris Cloud Devon Alexander Humberto Gutierrez Gabriel Campillo Robert Guerrero My top 3: 1. August boxer of the month: Cloud 2. Alexander 3. Guerrero -------------- 4. Campillo 5. Gutierrez 6. Jones Jr :good
Just looking through Boxrec, should Grzegorz Proksa be in our rankings? He has fought over a dozen times in the UK.
I have updated the light heavyweight rankings and made a couple of changes: Joey Vegas added (9th) JJ Ojuedrie moved up (8th to 6th) Bellew moved down (6th to 8th) Ajisafe above Bellew now, but in same position (7th) I will be looking through the other divisions more closely in the next couple of days, and maybe more small changes will be made :good Again, anything you don't agree with, voice your anger! Edit: Champions have been added (the key is at the bottom of the rankings) Truscott moved down one place. Choi upto 3rd! Two aforementioned August cards have been added; Rees into 7th place at light-welter Made a small change to Super-feather rankings - Jon Kays replaced by Kevin Buckley in 10th position :good
Who the hell is Jermain Mackey? http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=323838&cat=boxer Well, he is holding the Super-middleweight Commonwealth belt, so should he be added to our rankings?
He's from Barbados. Do we include all the Africans that fight for the Commonwealth belt too? Add Yakubu Amidu! Completely disagree with Woods being moved down below the likes of Brook too. Penalising a guy for losing to world class opposition and moving him below a guy that has only fought average domestic class is wrong. As if Woods wouldn't beat the average British light heavyweight, Muriqi is better than anybody Brook has fought. If he beats Jennings the discussion should be opened because Jennings is a top European class welter IMO.
But this Mackey guy is a legend! Yeah it was stupid of me to ask, I was just shocked that some guy I had never even heard of had the commonwealth belt. I also disagree about the Woods thing as well - maybe there is a case to have Moore over him, but thats it, hence why I haven't changed it. :good
