Finally updated the rankings again (through Rob's persistence ). Quite a few changes, including a journeyman getting into the rankings :yep Any mistakes or something you don't agree with just post on the thread :good
finally. ok...... Overall I do not think Albert Sosnowski, Kreshink Qato and Choi should be ranked. They are not eligable for the British title. Heavyweight Tom Dallas should be ahead of Larry Super Middleweight Would have McGuire, Salam and Paul David ahead of DeGale (and I am a fan of this) Light Middleweight Max Maxwell beat Brain Rose last week. Yassine El Maachie is top 10. Welterweight Jamie Cox should be top 10 Lightweight Gavin Rees is now a Lightweight Super Featherweight Paul Truscott is now a Super Feather. Scott Lawton retired. Liam Walsh is top 10 Super Bantamweight Jamie Arthur is a Super Bantamweight
Not this again atsch Dallas hasn't beaten anyone of note - At least Larry has Belshaw (turning into a journeyman) and Kenna (very much past it) on his record. Why would you have those ahead of DeGale? (David has to be dropped out of the rankings anyway) Yep forgot the Rose fight. El Maachi ranked, but Choi, Sos etc. dropped? Cox hasn't fought anyone over the last 12 months. Miles, who is ranked 10th, has a better recent record IMO. Rees and Truscott - yes. Lawton hasn't retired. Arthur was just a one off thing at super-bantam wasn't it?
Swaby is better than Kenna and Belshaw. In his previous 3 fights Swaby won two 12 rounders and lost on points to a 17-0 fighter in Poland. Dallas knocked him out in 1 round. Actually fair point about DeGale and Cox. El Maachie is eligable for the British title. You sure Lawtson hasnt retired??? Arthur has said hes staying at Super Bantam and going for a title shot.
I look forward to it...........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
ok.... Heavyweight Fury ahead of Harrison Light Heavy Jeffires and Banbula drew, why so far apart Super Middle McGuire is a LHW. David ahead of DeGale Middle Darren McDermott still a MW. has yet to fight at 168 Light Middle Would have O'Meara ahead of Concepcion Light Welter Rees is a Lightweight Cook drew with Daws he should be higher Wright ahead of Barnes, Harrison is still ahead of Gavin Lightweight Liam Walsh is a Super Feather No Henry Caslte? Super Feather Morros and Johanesson ahead of Lawton Crolla should be lower Bell has retired Feather Jon Donnelly is a Super Fly Super Bantam Napa has yet to fight at SBW Hughes should be higher
Heavyweight: Debatable, I would still have Audley slightly ahead of Fury at this stage. Light Heavy: Banbula was already ranked. He has better recent form than Jeffries. Super Middle: I'm still ranking McGuire as a Super Middle. It looks like he can make the weight still, considering how he was under the Light Heavy limit for a warm up fight. Looking at recent form of both David and DeGale, is a 1-1 record against Tyrone Wright and being a beaten Prizefighter finalist any better than a 7-0 record with wins over Matthew Barr, Nathan King and Sam Horton? Middle: McDermott is listed as a Super Middle on Warren's site, so I thought I would make the change now. Light Middle: I don't really count Prizefighters wins as being too detrimental to the rankings. Although O'Meara beat him in Prizefighter, I still feel Concepcion's recent form is much better. Light Welter: Fair point about Rees, will change it. Cook's draw with Daws was debatable, and he hasn't done much since his return. I'll put him ahead of Lynes, but I don't think he deserves to be any higher. I'll also put Wright ahead of Barnes, but I don't think Harrison should be ahead of Gavin. Lightweight: Will change Walsh. Castle was banged up for 5 years recently I believe. Super Feath: I think Lawton is in the right place. I also think Crolla is about right as well. I haven't seen anything concrete about Bell retiring - do you have a source? Feath: Will change Donnelly Super Bantam: Said he will move up, just put him in the rankings now instead of later. I think Hughes ranking is about right. :good
Furys win over McDermott was more dominant than Audleys win over Sprott, and you have McDermott ahead of Sprott?? His manager said in boxing news he turned down the DeGale fight as he is a Light Heavy, his last two fights were 190lbs and 172.5 which is closer to LHW than super middle. Yeh still think thats better than DeGale wins. Once he fights there put him up, but until then no point as Smith fight could fall through and he stays. Same for Napa. Would still have O'Meara top 12.
