ESB Brit Forum Trip - Haye vs Wlad in Berlin!

Yeah I failed AS maths last year (got 2 U's and a C ). I hate all the algebra **** and it did not interest me at all, plus it was even more annoying when I could not show my basic maths skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide etc.) which are very good.

So i dropped that and now only do Business and Law (dropped ICT too).

 

You're very good at adding and subtracting numbers and yet you still couldn't pass a maths exam? Whats the world coming to?

I guess theres more to this "mathematics" lark than meets the eye, eh?

 

well I can add and subtract numbers but not letters, like how is adding/subtracting letters going to help you in the real world?

 

You'll find the same thing with pretty much every subject.

90% of my degree means nothing in the real world, suppose you have to do something to gain a degree though!

 

Trigonometry is my favourite and very useful too!!atschWhat a waste of time:-(

all this talk about education is depressing me. ive more or less failed my first year of uni...i blame esb but still... im definetly up for goin germany my missus will pay for me since it coincides with my 21st bday

Winters hotel Berlin city Messe is a cheap nice hotel.You can probably get 3 nights there for £100.There are others look on the Ryan air hotels site.The transport system in the city is brilliant and the ubhan and sbhan both stop almost next to the 02.Anyone going out for this fight will be made to feel welcome and im sure will have a great time in the city.I will be either at the fight or watching it in a bar depends on ticket price and avaidability.

 

you seem to know enoiugh aboutthis place,waht is the central are a of berlin called?and how much is drink and grub roughly ?

 

Hard to say what the central area is,but when booking look for hotels that state they are fairly close to Kurfustendamm it is the best area to get about from,you cant go far wrong from there and the ubhan line No1 runs from the stations on there straight to Warschauer str(the 02 is there).The city is still a little bit east/west and things like food and beer tend to be a little cheaper on the old east side.For decent cheap food try mareado there are loads of them dotted around the city with menus in all languages(you can eat well for about 10euro).Berlin is not that cheap to eat and drink out in and the price of beer and size of glass it comes in can vary quite a bit.Large beer can be a 400ml or 500ml and can be between 3euro and 5 euro.Is a good idea to take about 100 euro for each day.Berlin is my second home i spend a lot of time there and im sure anyone going for the fight will love the whole expierence.And a warning for anyone thinking of making a few quid on cheap cigs,dont bother trying they are as bad if not worse than the uk 17 in a pack and about 4.50 euro.
