Thing is, the Gunn fight was made after B-Hop wasted everyone's time. It's not like Adamek is hiding behind mandos after all. I'll suport the Adamek arguement now I've seen everyone's points- I am no longer on the fence.

 

Gunn is trash. If all Adamek had done was fight Gunn, then I doubt anyone would have been arguing. I just don't like using a stay busy fight to invalidate his other achievements. I propose for future consideration that a champion should not be stripped for a fight that he is involved in if he would not have been stripped had he not fought instead of taking that fight. Inactivity should not be more highly rewarded than activity.

Light middleweight is a bloody inactive division. Santos is also over a year without fighting, he has a fight scheduled though in a couple of months. Dzinziruk approaching a year with no fight too.

 

i think its important we retain the fan eliment of these rankings. There are a few things that really annoy fans and that certain rules need to be considered such as......

1) Inactivity - A fighter will be removed if they have not had a fight for 365 days and do not have a fight confirmed.

2) Champions fighting poor boxers - If a fighter consistently fights poor fighters that and not mandos that will be stripped. If a top 10 fighter continues to fight poor fighters they will fall down the rankings. Adameck as discussed has not consistently done this so he is ok for now. If his fight after Golotta is another Gunn, he will be stripped.

You created the rankings and you should have followed what deep down in your heart you knew was right!!!

Next time don't just accept it :nono....PM someone who actually knows about boxing to take part in the discussion :deal

 

Do you know someone I could PM for convos like that then, ant? The rankings are fine- there were only two placements out of all of them (what are there, nearly 200 names in all?) that everyone didn't agree on at present. I'd say that was a pretty fair reflection on what the entire forum collectively thinks, TBH:good.

Anyone else think that we should keep all the rankings together in the one Stickied thread? Currently the voting stands at 1 for the cause and 0 againstgood.

 

I agree Adamek should never have been stripped. That is a completely bizarre decision. You can't strip a guy for winning a fight just because it was against a bum. It's not as if he's been doing nothing, he beat Banks not long ago, Cunningham the #2 guy, and Bell. I mean are we gonna drop a guy everytime he fights a bum/tune up?

It also suggests there is some kind of challenger for that status of 'champ' when there really isn't in reality.
