First of all, I'm not being defensive- I'm hardly going to roll over and change my mind after giving my opinion on something, you joker:roll::lol:. Secondly, you know full well that most of my favourite fighters are in the lower weight divisions. My picks just sum up the way I saw the month. PBF returns with no ringrust and puts on a masterclass against a fantastic opponent; haters are too quick to blame JMM's performance on the weight- the short and small of it was PBF was just that good on the night. I also think Katsidis deserves a shout as it was a good victory. Macklin's win was devastating and he beat a genuine world class opponent in a division stacked with talent.

Now, Sonsona has picked up an alphabet belt against one of the more average fighters at 115, IMO, who incidentally won the title when it was vacant (remember Montiel ditching it?). The number of fights he's had is irrelevant- it's a good win, but it doesn't stack up to the others, IMO. Just my thoughts on everything:good.

Wow, TFFP labelled you as defensive and you never called him a 'joker' - why is that?

    No, I didn't know that.

99% of people seen it as a Mayweather victory beforehand, which kind of tarnishes his 'masterclass'. Although slightly different - for example, if RJJ vs Paz happened at the same time as when Leija beat Nelson, Leija victory would be rated higher than RJJ's even though RJJ put on a masterclass, because 99.9% of people thought he would win the fight, whereas the contest between Leija and Nelson was deemed much closer (Leija was the underdog).

Yep, I agree it was a good victory and opinion on this one was genuinely split, although I think in the end more people picked Katsidis to win the fight.

Yep, he beat what looked like a faded world class opponent and many people felt he would do so. However, the manner of his victory was very impressive.

Wait, Is this not what Amir Khan did when he beat Kotelnik? Didn't stop him from being fighter of the month though.....

So? He beat a world ranked fighter to win the belt. If Dirrell beats Froch, are we going to not rate it as such a high victory because Froch was a 'paper' champion?

How isn't it relevant? Shows he was stepping up to the world stage for the first time in his pro career, was genuinely untested and was the underdog going into the fight against a world class opponent.

    IMO, it does.

**** me, Kos- you went all out! That must have taken ages! Calling someone a 'joker' is hardly vitriolic. To make it seem as though I'm not picking on you, the following are jokers: Losfer_Words, TFFP, et al. Accept it, you asked for my opinion and I gave it- I honestly don't see the big deal.

But I wasn't joking about anything, so I should not be deemed a 'joker' ;)

Anyway, its called debate - you know, something you do on a boxing forum :nut

I'll spare myself an e-fight, antcull (you joker). I have no idea why my post was given such special attention, though:conf. Amazing that I was called 'defensive' prior to the e-attack I was subjected to as well. As an aside, everyone bar myself has agreed to make Sonsona top, so my opinion hardly effects the grand scheme of things in the rankings.

****ing hell, you call that an 'e-attack'??? :rofl I wasn't exactly spiteful towards you, I was just debating about boxing :think

Plus, my initial point was aimed at both you and Rob, but he posted as I did (hence my 'edit' in the post) and agreed with me that Sonsona was top. If he hadn't, then based on the votes so far, Floyd would have been top - that is why I argued my point across.
