IMHO no, if a fighter didn't fight in a division then he shouldn't be included, even if the reason is that the division didn't exist when the fighter was active.

Wildes a tricky one but personally I'd rank him at Fly and Bantam but not at Lt Fly, Lt Bantam or Lt Feather because those divisions didn't exist when he was fighting.

****, if that is the wishes of the majority then who am I to argue? I just thought we might be a bit threadbare in some divisions, and that it would come in handy as a fall-back scenario.:hey

Thats just my humble opinion otherwise we're going to get bogged down into endless "Do we rank Don Cockell at Cruiserweight?" type debates.

Lets keep it simple and just rank the fighters in the divisions that they fought in eh?

A coincidence that our strongest division appears to be one that has only been going for only 20 years or so and one no-one else has really fought in until reletivly recently?

The SMW's division has very little history.

Just a surge in talent I reckon, no idea why.

It could potentially happen again at the moment.

I think its because its the average sort of size for a male.

Regarding Brit fighters, the traditional 8 divisons is probably the best way to go. I mean Calzaghe can be rated at LHW, and a good few of our MW stars can be salvaged from SMW (a lot of the important ones). It avoids placing a lot of flotsam that are nowhere near the tag "great".

I agree. I can't call Buster Keeton great, it doesn't sit well with me.

We just have to be clear that people rank fighters in the correct division.

Hatton would have to be a welter:)lol:)

    Calzaghe light heavy

    and so on
