What do you think the forum will be like post Hatton and Calzaghe? Both fighters will be retiring soon, (hatton later but its not far off imo) will the forum lose anything if the fans of either are not so active and dont latch onto another UK boxer (i.e. haye, who could also go if he is badly exposed at hw)? I will leave the topic open to all types of suggestions, it would be interesting to hear what people think will happen after these two go.
Even when JC and hatton finally go I still believe their careers wil still be talked at length to see where they rank all time great british fighters.
It won't change a bit. I like to think the mainstays of this forum are boxing fans, not just fans of a boxer. I'll be moving to the Danish forum and supporting Kessler
we just hope the prospects come through,haye,khan,froch etc to give us some one to support against the yanks.
I think British boxing is in decent shape - I only wish that our fighters would travel in order to gain experience. Not wanting to sound like a hater, but Amir Khan has only fought one type of opponent (shortly to be two granted) and has never fought a puncher - this allows him to be sloppy with his defensive work as he can just walk people down - I think Hatton was similar to a certain degree. This experience would be of great aid to him as he climbs the ladder, and any other good fighters coming through.
Haye, Froch, Khan, Mitchell, the 8 going to Beijing will keep us occupided on a grand scale. Also I would say only 25% of the conversation on here goes to Hatton and JC, theres alot of discussion about domestic fights and fighters. tbh i would like to post on the main forum more as i am more of a fan of world boxing than domestic and dont show alegencies to fighters on there they come from (apart from Londoners), but posts get filled up to quickly and to many people get involved. most of all there people chatting absolute **** on the main forum like Calzaghe slaps, mayweather ducks cotto and pavlik beats everyone in the world ever. You get more informed opinions on here which is why I mosly post on teh brit forum.
