I have decided to do a ESB Classic Forum Pound for Pound Tournament. I have included the 41 fighters ranked in people's top 10s when Rumsfeld did his 2011 survey. For the sake of not clogging up the board, and making it a bit faster, I will be using multiple fights in a thread, with multiple options for people to vote. My votes will not count, other than to break a tie. The draw is seeded according to Rumsfeld's results. All matches are to be judged over 15 rounds at a neutral indoor venue in (for arguments sake) the mid 1970's. I appreciate matches are mythical and potentially could lead to making a judgement over who wins a pound for pound between a 100lber and a 230lber. So use what ever (other) criteria is needed to make your personal judgement.
Benny Leonard beats Muhammad Ali (The Great > The Greatest) Henry Armstrong beats Thomas Hearns (very close) Ezzard Charles beats Joe Louis (also very close) Ray Leonard beats Roberto Duran (One of the greatest ever and one of the most overrated ever)
I accidentally voted for Duran to beat Leonard and for him to lose to Leonard... I meant to leave it at Duran to beat him.
Went wiz de majoriti & wiz dpw417 in ich of mai vowts . It iz de most end onli vowtabel poll of dis TS' ricent siries of treds & polls wich iz extremely ridikulus in its vast majoriti
