Thanks again to everyone who has voted. The following individuals were voted onto the committee, and each will need to post on this thread to confirm their bid. If you haven't followed the other threads, please refer to page 4 of the thread below to read the latest version of the rules. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16480&page=4 All that is required is that you 1) Vote once a month on Pound for Pound and Division rankings; 2) Vote on any side issues; and 3) Vote whether to accept that month's posters who have nominated themselves for admission onto the committee. The plan is to get everyone settled and on board, have them ratify the official rules, then vote on October 7. This should leave everyone plenty of time. In addition to the posts here, I'll also try to contact the other nominees (such as those from other forums) who may not see this thread. Remember, those who would like to join the committee can apply in time for October 7. The idea is to include as many of ESB's great posters as possible, with the flexibility to keep growing as we progress.
Keep posting in this thread. It screams out the need to be accepted. My nominations and your lack thereof speaks for itself.
My point is, why do you assume that your knowledge of boxing is so great when your actual fighting experience is probably quite limited? Honestly, I even learn things from this 15 year old kid. I love having discussions with him. I try to work with him on his fundamentals and stamina and once I get a car, I'll start driving him to the gym, but as far as strategy is concerned, kid knows his ****. Why? Because he fights people all the time. And granted, some of them blackout when they fight, just like everywhere else, but he also fights guys that know how to throw down. Not only that, but he definitely knows how to box. Very good at it. Very, very good.
Yeah, it means I don't suck dick and I've grown bored of talking about fighter's personal lives rather than analyzing the actual fights. Besides, most of these so-called "top analyst" are pretentious and insecure. And it's likely that if they got in the ring, for instance, with this 15 year old kid, they would most likely be brought back down to earth.
You're right there at it, so it's very possible if someone backs out (especially those who don't follow the current scene as closely) you'll still get a ticket. Worst case, just nominate yourself for this month. Can't imagine you'd have any trouble.
I met Tyson when he was 15. He would have destroyed almost anyone at 15, whats your point? I trained with Larry Hazard. Fought plenty of amateurs. Routinely hang out with the Atlases as well. Get a grip dude.
