exactly what you DIDNt do moron. you hid behind the idea that all respected boxing journalists voted mayweather which is complete bull****. that *****s This content is protected
Pavlik took the harder fights of all 3. And he was the Underdog in 2 out of 3 of those fights and won them all by KO. How could he not be fighter of the year.
I did not intend to avoid it. Hatton was not the man at 147 and did not have the level of competition compared to Taylor.
read my posts, im not going to hold your hand for you and put up my arguments again just b/c you have trouble with reading comprehension.
i think its a much bigger accomplishment that mayweather was fighting above his natural fighting weight, was welterweights undisputed champion, won a title at 154, and beat the undisputed champ of 140- the weight he should be at, if not 135.
Bernard isn't even a part of the poll, and he's never even come up in this thread. Why you feel the need to continually trash Hopkins is beyond me. Are you upset because he beat the **** out of Trinidad?
Mayweather is the udisputed WW champ :good. But he didnt do it this year. His natural weight is I think 140. As I said the Oscar fight was a good win. Hatton would be lower end top 10 at 147.
That's what you think, great for you. The main point is that Hatton did not belong to 147 (as the Colazo fight confirmed it) and that is where Mayweather beat him. As far as the DLH fight concerned, yes it is a great accomplishment I agree but the manner he beat DLH was, I am quoting Mayweather, "dull," moreover, DLH was not "the man" in the 154 either. Pavlik simply KTFO "the champ" of MD, like him or not.
oh you mean this? and your post is full of flaws, you're missing crucial variables that should be thought of. mayweathers wins: An old, inactive oscar, and an overhyped hatton. I know hatton is undefeated but wasn't jermaine taylor? We all know hattons prior experience was not much of anything. clearly money moves for money may. AND just look how you're slanting your arguments. i mean its so obvious. e.g. mayweathers wins are against, atg blaha blah blah top 5 whatever and pavliks competition is against fringe not p4p blah blah whatever. I could sit here all day and convince people that mayweather, cotto, OR pavlik had the best performances this year, if i used a couple emotion filled sentences. The point i'm trying to lay out is that these FOTY polls are all subjective its a subjective topic....so when you say that esb's posters do not have the least amount of objectivity or whatever the **** you said, it doesn't make any sense. You cannot truly argue a topic like this, and I was beefing you because of what you originally said abou mayweather is the clear winner and real deal because EVERYONE including ME says so. it sounds really annoying, childish and it frustates me that there are so many of you out there.
The same boxing media chooses Mayweather because he made the most money this year, not to mention his win over DLH, and since DLH owns a huge part of the boxing media, its not supriseing the guy who beat him gets fighter of the year. If you are judging fighter of the year buy "who made the most money" or "who set the record for most ppv buys" then you can pick mayweather, but dont act like beating a blown up hatton is toppling the world.
Wow, I think you scared Illmatic out of this thread. Im not a fan of all your posts Amsterdam but that was good, beat me too it.
