^^^ Well said... Peronsally I say mayweather, but I am biased towards Mayweather but I definilty wouldn't have a problem with any of those 3 winning, all great years
I think that Cotto was the most consistant performer of the year, and runs a very close second to Mayweather. But, on the whole, there were more mitigating circumstances surrounding his two biggest wins, then there were with Floyd's two biggest wins, and that's what tips it for me. Don't blame anyone for choosing Cotto, though.
wasnt taylor a champ? wasnt miranda a top 5 contender? wasnt zertuche a fringe contender? wasnt dlh an atg, titlist at a higher weight, his 5th weight class? wasnt hatton an undisputed, undefeated champion at a weight class that is/is over mayweathers natural fighting weight? wow, what bias.
ah...the old "blown up hatton" excuse. Hatton went up one weight class to fight someone who shouldnt of been at 147 anyway. The fight being at 147 didnt change the significance of the fight whatsoever.
Cotto for me all wicked fighters but cotto imo he is happy to fight anybody anywere a real champ Pavlik for me had a great year but has a bit more to prove Mayweather best p4p for sure but needs to fight the best at his weight he has the money now its time to make the fights
i think pavlik, he basically went from nobody to the king of the divison, in 2007 he hit the middleweight like hurricane.
\\ Their are a lot of people on that Mayweather band wagon that don't like to discuss this topic, but they are still out there and vote for their man non the less.
