ESB General Forum Year End Awards

I am relatively new to this site and far from a boxing expert so i prefer to watch from a distance when the more knowledgeable debate a hot topic especially when i have no expertise in that particular subject.It can be very entertaining when 2 'experts' go at it but many good threads are ruined by juvenile antics from idiotic posters who are either just stirring up **** or who are just plain stupid.I do think however that there are many more knowledgeable posters on this forum than you give ESB credit for - :hi:

3. Best Knowledge of the Technical Aspects of Boxing Award: Orisha, China Hand Joe, Amsterdam. (Different views on it does not equal less understanding)

4. Biggest Nuthugger Award: Bigtime9
(Honorable Mention) PacDbest...but I think he WANTS to be known as a nuthugger, since really it just means he is supporting Pacquiao to the fullest. Unbeatable Floyd...if not for Bigtime, he would win.

5. Biggest Hater Award: Carlito....I know he is here somewhere

6. Best Boxing Historian Award: Drew101, but there are alot who don't post in General.

7. Best Comedian Award:

8. Best Predictions Award:China Hand Joe (really? Yah, still have not seen him get one wrong, and yes he predicts more than Calzaghe fights.)

9. Most Objective Poster Award: A number of them here, MSTR, Drew101, Brooklyn1550, ACB, Lampley I will add more as they come to me.

10. Best New Poster Award (Ideally joined withing the last several months, and with over 400 posts). Gonna go with McGrain, but ACB is clearly here as well.

11. Most Innovative Poster: Decebal, Lampley

12. Best Thread Starter: ACB, used to be Nigel_Benn and Kirk, but they don't seem to be as active as they were.

13. Most Missed Poster: Cross Trainer and by a mile

14. Classiest Poster Award: Brooklyn1550, Lampley

 

Yes, but there are often other facts relevant to the topic that you disregard or simply do not put much stock in. That becomes an opinion. Also, there are often more than one set of facts because of behind the scenes action. This is a subject for another time I'm afraid. I have no desire to hijack what I view as a nice thread.

I appreciate seeing my moniker once or twice over the course of this thread, even though I deserve no small amount of scorn for the incessant spam and flame.

The only thing I would take issue with is the fact that BSG/Mike W isn't nominated for at least half a dozen awards. Dude's a ****in legend in his own time.

Some guys in that forum that don't post much, that have a heap of knowledge on the sport: WhataRock, Kegsy, Dekkers ect....

 

This thread is specific to the General Boxing Forum. How often do you post in this one as opposed to others? Myself, I think I am spread just thin enough to be barely noticed in both the GBF and the Lounge. :yep But I'm happy with posting where and when I feel like it, I'm not going to force my presence in one area or the other just to keep a high profile if I don't feel otherwise inspired to say something. :good
