    Vote....

We need some clarity for the entire sanity of ESB... half of you are saying floyd is coming back and picking on little guys...

the other half of you guys are saying that he is finally taking big time challenges and "0" is Truly @ risk in his next 2 fights..

You know what the results will be. Some are picking him to lose but then say he is cherrypicking, then the same people turn around and ask for Cotto-Pac when the size difference is worse.

Do you expect EVERYONE to have the same opinion?

Many of those saying JMM is a major challenge happen to be the fanboys. Eze is saying they are practically the same size already FFS. :patsch

I'm not all that crazy about the JMM fight, but I wouldn't mind watching Mayweather square off against Pac.

If these are the only options..
My Vote: Floyd Is "Still" A "Cherry Picker" Choosing JMM & Potentially Manny Pacquiao.
(By fighting them as a WW & not wanting to fight true WW's)

He's not taking the most challenging guys, that's for sure. He knows he can beat JMM, who is considered one of the best p4p, and that fighting him can generate lots of money/interest - so he takes that fight over Cotto, Williams, Mosley, and other bigger guys.

Same as Hatton.. he knew he could beat him, knew he would generate lots of money/interest, so he took that fight over the more challenging guys.

After this, he'll take on Pac - though of course he figured it wouldn't be as tough of a fight as it will likely be after seeing him destroy Hatton.. but he's certainly good enough to beat him anyway, so he'll take him on also. Still - another smaller guy who has a big name and will be huge money for him. Can't blame him for taking such huge paydays, but still..

Serious boxing fans have been clamoring to see him fight the best at 147, but he never does. He continually protects his undefeated status over taking the most challenging and difficult fights.

JMM represents minimal risk, big gain by name....nothing more.

If Floyd beats JMM and Pac he'll be called a cherry picker! If he loses then Pac is great! That's what haters do! lol

Not trying to downgrade a fighter the caliber of JMM by calling him a "tune-up", but I think that's what he is, due to the weight. Floyd doesn't want to be rusty so he's fighting a semi-big name in the sport, who is a great fighter, but a smaller one.

I'm not overly critical of Mayweather for this fight due to the layoff (Floyd's sham retirement is another story) and the fact that he's fought his share of bigger guys before (people act like PBF is some sort of Rocky Graziano or something), but a win over JMM is not some monumental win either. It won't be Floyd's best win, despite JMM being the best fighter PBF has ever fought. It's a decent "comeback" fight though.

Pacquiao, however, would be a risk. Pacquiao looked as good as ever at 140, which is probably maybe 3-4 lbs less than what I expect the contracted weight to be if he and PBF fight. In the ring, I don't even think there'd be a difference in weight due to weight cutting.
