I thought Maynard won the fight; a 10-8 rd 1, rd 3, and a close rd 5. I could see a draw, but I have no idea how a Judge had Edgar winning by 2 rounds. So I don't think it was a terrible outcome, but it was a terrible way to get there because no judge should have given Edgar the fight by 2 rounds.

i ****ing knew Leben was a ****ing drunk zombie i knew i was a ****** for picking his ass i just didnt know anything about Stann. And i really felt like Vera was gonna win but hes a clown with no desire, Frankie Edgar is the poster boy for desire after tonight but Pettis is gonna kick his head off or submit him. and i'm ****ing crushed Gomi lost to gatekeeper Guida man i cant believe it....

I didn't check the post fight conference...are you serious ? It's going to be Edgar - Maynard 3 instead of the WEC/UFC belt unification ?

LOOOOL! How original. Is that how it is going to work from now on in the UFC?

"This is my only shot and i'll take it... unless it's close then i'll have a re-match"

First the Shogun robbery, then Penn Vs Edgar now this! :happy Nice work UFC...

well this is a legit rematch. A draw in a championship fight is pretty rare, and if it does happen, there should definitely be a rematch.

Yeah but again! Two re-matches in a row!

I had Maynard up by two but i can see the 47 - 47 score but the Edgar 48 - 46 is just BS!

I loved the way Edgar threw the belt down like a piece of ****... great champion! :|

Yeah, it's not about if a rematch is needed or not...it's just that now there is 2 belt at 155, Pettis is gonna have to wait at least 6 month ? maybe more ? That's not really fair for him.

I didn't have a problem with any of those scores. The 3rd and 5th rounds were close, so they could have gone either way. You could even argue a 10-7 round for the first, but a 3 point round may be hard to argue as fair in a 5 round fight.

    10-8 Maynard
    10-9 Edgar
    10-9 Edgar
    10-9 Edgar
    10-9 Edgar
    48-46 Edgar

    10-8 Maynard
    10-9 Edgar
    10-9 Maynard
    10-9 Edgar
    10-9 Maynard
    48-46 Maynard

    10-8 Maynard
    10-9 Edgar
    10-9 Maynard
    10-9 Edgar
    10-9 Edgar
    47-47

This fight was not like Shogun and Machida I, it was more like Couture and Vera. Scoring is subjective, and I think those are all reasonable score cards in a fight like last night's.
