Popkins, I think you need to factor something else into your lay-off theory. Relevant Activity. Rashad had been out of the professional cage for 14 months. However, Rashad had signed to fight a few times since then, and had entered a few training camps. I don't think Evan's lay off was the same as someone like Jackson's, when Jackson left fighting to become an actor. Evans had remained active over the past 14 months, and it showed last night.
