This was not a good card for me :verysad

Since Zuffa/Dana forced that poor Scott Coker to sell his family business to them my predictions have gone out the window :verysad

It's all Dana's fault! Monaro would agree!

Was I too late with my Gustafsson and Mendes picks then? I was sure I'd posted my picks before either fight started.

You could be right Rek, but for now I'm going to stick with my theory because I now have a feeling that Tito is still the same semi-shot fighter he was pre-Bader. Fighting for one minute or so, landing one good shot and slapping on a guillotine against a very limited fighter in Bader in hindsight really doesn't wipe away 5 years of failure in the Octagon. If Rashad had done what he did on Saturday to someone like Lyoto Machida or Phil Davis, then maybe I'd reassess the theory. As for now, I still believe in it and am sticking with it.

Also, Bones SL1 Evans (stanky-leg victory within 120 seconds of action).

You got 4 points for Gustaf and 10 for Mendes. Those 3 zeroes are for the facebook prelims. I know you weren't cherry picking the easy fights, you were just late, but that's the reason we count all the fights listed in the op when we tally the scores.

For example, if someone chose Evans tko 2, that person's score would look like: 10pts 1-9 1ko

I think that inactivity is a problem when fighters fail to remain active. I think the times we've seen Shogun look bad after a lay off, he has also laid out of the gym. Same with Rampage. I don't think you can undo a lengthy absence in one training camp. If a fighter remains active in the gym, testing skills against quality fighters, then I don't think it matters how long it has been since that fighter's last official bout.

That's all I'm trying to say.

I get it, just don't agree. I don't think training and sparring is a substitute for real in-cage competitive intensity. If Rashad had been fighting a top opponent, I think he'd have struggled, I'm not fooled by a good performance against this version of Tito. But yes of course you are right, lay-offs where guys aren't training at all have even more detrimental effects upon a fighter.

If I hadn't come in halfway through the season I think I could have made a serious run at the title but alas it wasn't to be. I'm still finishing Top 10, however, mark my words!
