How so? Because Mir landed flush on it and dropped him? Mir may not be a world class striker, but he is a powerful puncher. Nogueria was backing up in a straight line, and Mir stepped forward with a flush shot on the button.

Or did the Velasquez ko give you this opinion? It's not like Nogueira fell on the first right that landed. Velasquez can crack, and Nogueira ate the right hand that dropped him one too many times. Then Velasqez hit him with a barrage of shots after dropping him.

Neither of those ko's are proof that Schaub has a better chin. Both of those guys hit harder than Nelson.

You'll see tonight. He has no Chin. None.

So if you can be ko'd, you have no chin? Is that the logic you follow?

Roy Nelson has a much better chin than Arlovski. What happened when they fought? If Schaub knocks Nogueira out it will be because he lands first, not because he has the better chin.

If you honestly think Nogueira's Chin is anything but pure porcelain these days, you're deluded and there's no point in having this conversation any longer. They're both Glass Jawed Jokes but Nogueira is a feather fister, as well, so Schaub has the advantage whether he lands first or not.

I agree that even at this point with Nogueira's punch resistance being GREATLY diminished from his prime, he still doesn't have a more feeble beard than Schaub, who Roy Nelson turned into a pile of cowdung smeared on the mat with one big winged shot.

However, you know my theory Rek. The lay-off beats Nog, not a mediocrity like Schaub. It will be heartbreaking, it will be horrible, but Schaub is about to knock out the second man in a row who would've ate him and his whole family a few years back.

I'd be the happiest man on this forum if I turned out to be wrong.

The lay off may be a problem here. The best Nog has looked recently was against Couture a couple years back. Nog was like 12 or 13 pounds lighter for that fight.

Schaub was an NFL player, so he is a world class athlete. His speed will be a major challenge for Nogueira.

He looked good against Couture because Couture was even more shot than he was and had a shittier Chin. The guy is done, stick a fork in him.

For some reason I see Shaub falling into the Darce choke. I could live with Nog knocking his head off his shoulders though :D

That was a great fight, and both were still top 10 heavyweights when they faced each other.
