I would love to see you break down fights more often and discuss how fighters are going to win. Tipping comps are great, and winning does mean something, but when you don't know a lot of the fighters like in ours it detracts from the analytical side to an extent.

I have seen you break down a fight well before, but i don't really read such posts often from yourself like I do some of the other guys here.

I know you don't have much time with the new job so it makes it hard. Would be good if you get a chance to see your thoughts on some up coming fights.

    Mosley v Cotto
    Kessler v Calzaghe
    Taylor v Pavlik
    Pac v Barrera

Just as a start. Not doubting you, just saying that if people read more of your stuff then it gives you a better chance of getting nominated.

I guess so. The rest of committee would probably appreciate it, then they could get the sloppy seconds from the powers of the Axe effect.

    Half bump, half retort.

The idea of guaranteeing posters from geographic locations is a good idea, but it has its flaws as well. In order to maintain the quota, you may have posters with extreme biases or lack of general boxing knowledge. Then we would just be appointing them based on their location and not their boxing acumen. There have been posters from outside the U.S. that have already made the cut and I'm sure there will be more. But you cant have people on the committee based solely on their origins. This is about fairly assessing and rating fighters, and location should not be taken into account. Most of the people nominated have been so due to their integrity and proven knowledge of the sport, so what logic would you use for guaranteeing some one a spot from another geographic locale if the people nominated are unbiased?

The only logic is access to local televised bouts.

I really don't see the problem with voting for the poster that you think is best. What's the point in insisting upon this or that if you potentially limit the only pure resource you have?

Indeed! The best posters/analysts are the best no because they come from/represent a certain continent, but because they are objective and good at what they do!

Thank you to everyone who elected to nominate me. I accept my nomination and will do my best to make sure ESB's ratings are truly impartial if I end up being elected.

I am very surprised that I got in, maybe those Benjamin Franklins had something to do with it.

I hope we get another round, because I still want to vote for Requiem and MSTR.
