Nobody got any love for Vinny? I dont know what it is about Davis, he always just seems really sloppy to me, and relies on brute strength. Be interesting to see which prevails - brute force or technique :hey

Davis is a newly graded purple belt under Lloyd Irvin, pretty solid credentials that, coupled with his top game / wrestling = a pretty solid / world class all round grappler. Vinny is highly talented in this area which makes it interesting, but he has next to no stand up, if Davis wants to he can run and throw for 3 rounds without even thinking of shooting in, and we will probably see Vinny do his Werdum impression and try and pull guard once or twice. Davis holds a lovely arm triangle win over Boetsch or was it an anaconda? I cant remember but it was a sweat sub if memory serves.
That submission Davis caught Boetsch in was one of those lucky once in a lifetime type of submissions. He just caught Boestch with his arm out in an awkward position and was able to turn a one on one wrist grab into a one arm kimura/shoulder lock. Joe Rogan christened it the "Wonderbar" at the time but I call bull**** because it's not a real submission that could be setup with any type of consistency. That's just my take on it as a person who studied submissions in jiujitsu and aikido for several years.
