Another great fight. Since Bas Rutten is not here I will say it for him the liver kick did him in! As soon as Crocop landed a few liver kicks, Barry slowed down. Barry will regret not following up on his knockdowns early on. Gutsy showing from Crocop to fight on through what appeared to be a broken cheek bone. I would love to see a Couture/Crocop match up at some point in the near future.

 

Great awareness, never know what could have happened with the decision.

Barry can hold his head up high as well.

 

Pat Barry's lack of killer instinct may have cost him that fight.

 

I would like to see it in the past.

I'd have trouble wanting to hurt that guy too, impossible to dislike.

 

I think the early knock downs made Barry feel TOO secure in his stand up. I think he figured "wow that was easy, I can do this all night." Little did he know CroCop decided to turn it up alittle bit.

Even if it wasn't stopped CroCop won the 2nd and 3rd so a decision probably would have went his way anyway.

 

Yeah, it certainly appears so. Pat himself is too much of a nice guy. I mean he hugged his opponent in the middle of the fight. Not to mention in interviews he has mentioned that he worries about his opponents and kind of checks on them to make sure he doesn't go overboard.
