Next year I think you'll be easily battling for the top spot with me, Brooklyn, Zakman, Huki, DanePug(hopefully that norse **** comes back) and others.

You've gained an impressive amount of points anyway for the smaller amount of time that you've participated.

What happened to DanePugilist? Did he run away after Kessler lost?

I'm surprised that almost everyone is picking Mayorga. The oddsmakers are really off on this one.. and opening up the under 9.5 rounds at +115 was just insane. There is nobody that thinks this will go the distance. Back in September half the people here were going for Vargas though. I sometimes think that people are scared of getting 1 match wrong and not getting the weekly extra 20 points, so they just jump on the bandwagon when it comes to close picks. Maybe the next league shouldn't have bonuses for getting all 5 picks correct, since it just makes people worry about picking one close fight differently than than majority and then not getting the big 20 point bonus. For example, 2 weeks ago I wanted to pick Lorenzo over Rosales, but virtually everyone picked Rosales so I just went with the non-risky pick so if I got it wrong it wouldn't matter. Oh well, all this stuff can be discussed and voted on later.

I know, this Mayorga/Vargas fight is a steal. The under 9.5 is something I put 1,000$ on already real money.

So far, I've had an excellent betting year.

I think you are right...there is a definite bandwagon mentality, but it's mainly on the main fight...I don't think the others are influenced by the picks of anyone else on the lesser fights if they have an opinion themselves...

I'm admitedly gambling against the odds. But **** MAYORGA:good
I'm praying on both knees several times a day, Vargas has a last flash, even half a flash, because I've WON picking against this ******* before.
Not to mention they both lost to Trinidad and DLH and Vargas fared better than the PATHETIC CLOWN ASS performances Mayorga produced.

Now, the last time I saw Vargas fight SSM? I saw NOTHING from Vargas, it was a performance screaming RETIRE:-( :-( :-( Yet, remember Mayorga's TOTALLY ****ED Personality has a a way of bringing out the best in people. Plus? The fight is at 62! So The chubbier, cigarette smoking, tequila shooting JACKASS may not fare well after 3 or 4 rounds.

My friends are going the other way on this, but? I HATE MAYORGA!! I think he looked just as shitty in his performances and cant stand somone who ALWAYS TALKS THE MOST, NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES HE HASNT DELIVERED. I pray that Fernado gets through being bigger using his size and slipping the INEVITABLY WILD HOOKS that are sure to come. History says if you can do that? You gotta decent chance of breaking the bully down:yep

My consolation if Mayorga WINS? We get a step closer to a Vernon Forrest 3rd fight:good I hope that's the consolation AFTER Vargas wins:D

I've run league's in both formats. The same groupings usually ended up in the same race with lower totals.

You are correct though when there are bonus points, they can become part of the strategy, but all can play the game. I could have very well have picked Mayorga:barf :barf :barf and keep pace with the pack. Especially with this fight so close to the end of the year. But my experience has taught me it'll play out as it usually does. Whether I get it or not? It's gonna be a good race next year and anyone WINNING THIS THING?
Has EARNED the right to pat himself on the back, you're picking with sharks:lol:
