So, how does Williams ends up No. 6 on P4P list, and is only No. 3 at MW, and not rated anywhere else? I don't think he should get No.3 at MW, nor at LMW. Maybe at Welter, but he hasn't fought there for a while. It just doesnt make sense to rank him in P4P.

Agree with fighter of the month. Haye 4th at HW is a weird one IMO.

ESB Rankings are not affected by crappy alphabet belts. We rank fighters by the last division they fought in unless it was a one off. Pacquiao's last fight was at Welterweight and his next fight has been confirmed there. We do not rank fighters in more than one division.

P4P list looks pretty accurate, only calderon is a bit too high, I would replace him with donaire or vitali..

Williams beat Winky Wright at Middleweight who at the time was one of the top ranked fighters there. he has not had a fight at Welterweight in 18 months, or Light Middleweight in a year. You cannot be ranked in more than 1 division.

If a few more members share the same opinion we will consider moving him down.

The P4P list was voted on using apoints based system. I will start another vote at the end of the year.

    Sisu!!!!!!!!!!!!

Donaire and Vitali were both top 15 when we took the vote. A new vote will take place at the end of the year.

Winky was dropped from the rankings because of inactivity - his last fight prior to PW was also above MW. Hence, PW did not really really beat a single top ten rated MW (you can make a case that Winky would have been in top 5 or even higher if he was active...but he was not). So please, can you explain me the rankings again considering this FACT.

    haha quite true. he case for him being ranked is;

    1) Winky Wright, even after his loss to Williams has stayed in the top 10.
    2) If you can name a win that any Middleweight fighter below him has won that is better than a wide UD over Winky Wright

    4. Sebastian Sylvester
    5. Anthony Mundine
    6. Matthew Macklin
    8. Dmitry Pirog
    9. Gennady Golovkin
    10. Danny Jacobs

    3) His high ranking is more down to the fact Middleweight is a weak ass division.

Personally I think Williams is a tad over rated and if the Martinez fight was at 154lbs he would get knocked out. I would have him 10th P4P but it was a vote which is a fair way of doing it.

If you dont fight for more than two years in a division, there is not much point in ranking you, isnt it? You may had been even a top dog, there is no garantee that you are still 2 yrs later.

Right, PW may feast on those competition, but he hasnt beaten any known MW excluding an old, inactive, coming from a loss at a heigher weight Winky. That is just not enough in my book as fighters get ranked on their achievement and not potential...not that I would rate PW in p4p on potential either...

You still didnt name a fighter ranked below Williams that had beaten anyone better than Winky coming of a 2 year lay off
