I think Vince Paras beats Salva, Paradero, and Cuarto. I still have high hopes for this kid.

What do you think about Gesta vs Manzanarez?

I think that’s a 50/50 fight on paper. Whoever is the more active guy will win. Both guys are pretty patient fighters. I see Gesta having trouble with Manzanerez’s length.

All have good chances to be champs in their division although gaballo will have it hard especially in a shark infested division.

Al Rivera finally returns on June 16 against Leonardo Doronio! This is a rematch of their first fight from August 2014 where Doronio knocked out Rivera in the seventh round. Rivera has not fought in 8 months while Doronio has not fought in a year and a half. Doronio has lost 5 of his last 6 fights but he remains competitive in most of these losses. I've seen Doronio a couple of times and he is very game when he's on. But sometimes, he is just not there to win and gives up at the first time of adversity. If he is on for this rematch, this is sure to be fireworks with a much-improved Al Rivera.

So the rumor about magsayo is confirmed. Apparently he has now signed up with Now Boxing Promotions and is based out of Vegas although still no news on when he'll fight next.

Yeah, it's true. So he wants to be based in America. I wonder who his trainer will be?

    https://www.ringtv.com/537167-filipino-prospect-mark-magsayo-signs-new-management-ala-deal-expires/

Filipino boxer Mark Magsayo has signed with new management after electing not to renew his contract with the ALA group.

Magsayo (18-0, 13 knockouts) of Dauis, Bohol, Philippines, says he has signed with Malaysia-based manager Vikram Sivapragasam and will be promoted by Now Boxing Promotions, a Las Vegas-based company headed by Joe Dunkin, the brother of veteran manager Cameron Dunkin.

"In the main supporting bout, it will be Mexico against the Philippines as the WBA, through president Gilberto Mendoza Jr. and ratings chairman Jose Oliver, has just sanctioned the fight between Mexican Edivaldo Ortega (26-1-1) and Jhack Tepora (21-0, 16 KOs) of the Philippines for the WBA featherweight title."
Does this mean that the wba regular will be on the line since mares lose to santa cruz?

I am here in Davao city one of P.I. Boxing factory. Saw monsters here.Massive crocodiles,Tigers and Philippine Eagles. This place is not as hot as other parts of Philippine the Southern most part of Mindanao has a pleasant mild warm temprature and cooler in the mountains.Duterte place is half way between modern to old way of life. The struggle is real though. My peoples here still live the hard knock life. Why they are made tough the hardship is apparent, see run down places, overall people here are friendly hospitality is incredible. Now off to Cebu and Siargao chasing waterfalls.Seeing more monsters this time a Whale shark. And ofcourse chillin in tropical beaches and eyeing those palm trees covererd landscapes the views are epic.Awesome!

Carlo Magali defends his Oriental & Pacific super featherweight title Wednesday morning in his challenger's (5-0 Hironi Mishiro) backyard in Tokyo.

Anybody know if there's supposed to be any TV outlet in either Japan or the PI?

You know what's kinda funny, I've been following Nietes for years, maybe his most vocal fan in this hemisphere, at least on English-speaking internet boxing message boards, and yet I only just found out like a week ago what "Ahas" even means (a type of snake endemic to SE Asia, called in English the 'wolf snake' I believe..)

Happy trails, Pipo! Don't literally chase waterfalls though - please stick with the rivers & lakes. :D

Also in regional title action this week: Carl Jammes Martin, looking to capture the vacant WBA bantamweight Asian belt.

This holiday is madness.I cant believe i was hanging off the edge of a 124 meter tower roller coaster. The next day saw a couple of massive whale sharks up close these things are monsters supringly they swim fast AF.Went to two insane waterfalls and Jumped off a 45 footer. The best part is the hotel i am staying in Cebu has a mall downstairs and omega boxing had a fathers day special boxing clinic featuring Christian Araneta and Jessie Rosales.I can see how Balla got Ktfo by Rosales that right hand has a booom everytime he hit the mitts.Although he is not a slick operator.Araneta is faster. The Filipino hospitality is what sticks out.Alot of Koreans and Foreigners who stay here my peoples just go out of there to make them feel comfortable, genuinely nice and hospitable helping with a smile.
