    Warlito Parrenas announced his retirement after his stoppage loss to Ryuichi Funai a couple days ago. Parrenas was leading on all three scorecards prior to the stoppage.

    But there's definitely a wolf snake that's only found there/Indonesia/mainland SE Asia, right? Is that called something else? Could've sworn I read something about that being his nickname.

    So, turns out they're pretty common (but to humans non-dangerous) household intruders across the archipelago. Some people keep them as pets because they eat smaller pest animals like rodents & lizards, as seen here.

    Ahas tulog is what they're called there, which is probably where my confusion stemmed from. I found out what Nietes' ring name meant, Googled it, and probably the first hit that came up happened to be about that variety and so I synecdochally conflated a narrower definition with the broader one. :thumbsup:

    Philippine Eagle food these things.Finally seen them in Davao man in person.You dont appreciate how massive animals like Phil Eagle, Crocs, Tigers and Whalesharks are until they are feet next to you.The keeper let me feed a tiger through the cage it came right at me huge huge jaw growling trying to rip the food must of been 10 ft tall.The power is ridiculous anyone who thinks lions can beat a tiger in a fight go see them and you will realize who the real king of the jungle.

    Finally saw a monster crocodile name pangil in Davao he is an 18 footer caught in Agusan Marsh Mindanao. Actually the biggest croc in the world caught in the wild was Lolong a 21 footer who was also caught in Agusan Marsh and apparently there is a 30 footer in Agusan Marsh.When Lolong died Pangil became the biggest he looks fake in his encloser because it rarely moves until it blinks and moves its jaws.

    Casimero is reportedly coming back on july 30 in mexico against a yet unknown opponent. About time now im just waiting for tapales to return too. I thought these guys would be part of the new wave to move philippine boxing forward but so far its only ancajas. Their inactivity is really frustrating
